Andy Anderson, DVM, MBA

Growing up in Texas, Andy Anderson had two inspiring role models—his father, a CEO, and his best friend’s dad, a small animal veterinarian. It’s not surprising that Andy’s professional path followed both these guides.

After pre-vet studies at Texas A&M, Andy was attracted to the flourishing oil and gas business. He got a Harvard MBA and pursued a career in investment banking. But despite success on Wall Street, he says he was restless because what he was doing did not connect with his core purpose. So Andy returned to his roots—his love of animals and caring for them.

With support from his wife, Kim, and close friends from Harvard Business School, he left the world of mergers and acquisitions and returned to Texas A&M and nine years of training to become a board-certified veterinarian specializing in small animal surgery. After growing his own practice, Andy’s caring nature and background in business and management led him to help other vets be successful.
